NORTHERN ADELAIDE PET SITTERS

Pet sitter, dog walker, cat care & much more

We do more than pet sitting cats and dogs! Northern Adelaide Pet Sitters are familiar and experienced with many different animals so we can also take care of your rabbits, chickens, fish, ferrets, guinea pigs, birds, lizards, turtles and frogs. We are also happy to learn about animals that we aren’t quite so familiar with.

We also do more than just dog walking… no going on vacation, just busy and in need of a dog walker? Talk to us about our dog walker services.

Having a dog walker is a great way to keep your pet fit and happy. It also keeps them occupied, reducing destructive behaviours that often result from boredom.

Terms and conditions

Scheduling is on a first come first serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate client’s needs. Northern Adelaide Pet Sitters will visit at the requested times as closely as possible, however if an unforseen situation arises, the time may be adjusted. After-hours visits upon request are at an additional charge.

It is best to plan as far in advance as possible in order to obtain the services clients require on the dates they require. All new clients must undertake an initial consultation (free of charge) prior to the commencement of any bookings. The initial consultation should take place between 3 to 7 days prior to the commencement of the client’s trip.

No booking is confirmed until it has been paid for in full. Payment is required prior to commencement of service. Our preferred method of payment is via EFT – an invoice will be emailed to the client for this purpose.

Cancellations can be made at any time up to 3 days prior to commencement of the service and clients will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after 3 days prior to commencement of the service will incur a late cancellation fee of $30.00.

All prices are as determined by the Northern Adelaide Pet Sitters price list and are subject to change.

Confirmation will be provided upon receipt of full payment. If for some reason you have not received a booking confirmation from us, please contact us immediately to ensure your booking is processed.

In the event clients have to be away longer than planned it is essential that the client contact us. We will only accept extensions of service by direct confirmation. The clients pets well-being depends on their communication with us.

We understand that plans can change and can be flexible if notified. If clients return home early, please notify us immediately. If we are not notified, and a Northern Adelaide Pet Sitters carer makes a visit and finds the client home, the regular per visit charge applies.

A $15 surcharge for public holidays in addition to the regular per visit fee will be charged for all South Australian public holidays. All deposits for these holidays are non-refundable. Basic visits only will be provided on Christmas Day and Good Friday (a basic visit will include feed, refresh water, kitty litter change and 10 minute play time), no further services can be booked for these days, one visit per client (unless medication needs to be administered). We request your understanding that Easter and Christmas holidays are a peak service time for pet care.

In the event of severe thunderstorms every effort will be made to drive to the client’s home. The service may be changed, interrupted or altered due to the circumstances. If it is not possible to drive safely to the client’s home, their emergency contact will be notified. The client will be notified that the above mentioned contingency plan has been contacted. After the storm has passed the clients pet will be visited to check on its well being and the client notified.

Adelaide is more likely to endure several extreme heat events throughout the summer months. During extreme heat weather we will continue clients scheduled visits and will increase the number of visits if we believe a pet is at risk. Prior to clients going on vacation, extreme heat plans will be discussed. Frozen drink bottles will be provided for animals to lay on, and ice blocks added to drinking water. Shade must be available. Dogs will not be walked during the day and may be substituted for evening walks as long as the animal is not showing any signs of distress. If an animal shows any signs of heat stress we will seek immediate veterinary assistance.
